1. For anyone discovering Skrike for the first time, how would you describe the band’s sound and what sets you apart within the metal scene?

SKRIKES roots run deep into the beating heart of traditional heavy metal, we draw from haunting riffs and dark vocals that place the audience in a world of dungeons and night. We pride ourselves on having what we think is one of the best live performances up and coming in metal. From letting the audience drink from skulls to Coffins and smoke on stage we try our best to take you away from reality

2. You’ve just released a new single. What inspired the track, and what were you aiming to achieve both musically and lyrically?

With the new single ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ we wanted to capture all of SKRIKE’S energy and vibe within one heavy track. Drawing from bands like Black Sabbath, Manowar and Savatage, we wanted to take a story as iconic as the tale of Jekyll and Hyde and twist it so evil prevails. Lyrically a lot of thought was put into how we could give the song its own unique twist and not just a copy of the story, by writing the song from Hydes point of view and changing the ending we feel the song reaches its full potential and reflects the soul of SKRIKE perfectly.

3. How does this new single reflect where Skrike are as a band right now compared with your earlier releases?

War of time was the first song we had ever written when the band was first formed, since then we’ve evolved through numerous live performances and hours of developing the story of SKRIKE. The new single truly demonstrates our new direction with the eerie atmosphere that we create tied in with our harmonised riffs, rapid drums and Heavy vocals defining our place as Haunting British Heavy Metal

4. Your live shows have earned a reputation for being intense and memorable. What do you think makes a great Skrike performance?

Intense audience interaction and transportation to a wild world that you can’t reach without us. You’ll drink blood from the skull of the SKRIKER, enter the dungeons of old England and experience battle all in one show.

5. Metal is a genre that thrives on connection between the band and the crowd. What kind of atmosphere do you try to create when you step on stage?

Metal offers an escape and a safe haven inside the horrors that are reality. We want you to feel as though you’re part of the SKRIKE family, stepping into a fantasy world that never ends, using not just the music but the setting and the stage of each and every venue to create our unique world.

6. You’re set to perform in London soon. What can fans expect from that show, and does playing in the capital bring a different kind of energy or pressure?

We were absolutely blown away to be offered the show by Rattlesnakes in London, but the answer is simple ! The world needs SKRIKE. Playing in the capital is an amazing opportunity and another stepping stone to world domination. We’ll be bringing the SKRIKE energy wherever we go.

7. This year you’re headlining the Big Condo Records Weekender. What was your reaction when you got the call, and what does that opportunity mean to the band?

The weekender is an amazing chance for artists to demonstrate all they’ve got and leave it all out on the stage. As always we treat every performance like it’s our last and gladly embrace the opportunity to play to another city.

8. Big Condo Records has become a strong supporter of independent artists. How important are events like the Weekender in helping heavy bands reach new audiences?

Without the labels and the venues, the artists wouldn’t have shows, and without the artists there would be no shows! Every event, especially the weekender, is integral to expanding the heavy metal and live music scene.

9. What’s happening behind the scenes at Skrike right now?

Can fans expect more new music, videos, tours, or other projects in the near future? We are currently in the process of writing our first album, working with prestigious producer Marcus Andre, who recently produced VOID’s ‘forbidden morals’ , on some new music and filming a brand new music video with our very own media master @tidal_productions ! As well as a UK tour with the label in 2027.

10. Looking ahead to the rest of 2026, what are the biggest ambitions for Skrike, and where would you like to see the band a year from now?

Next year we want to be even bigger and better! Bigger shows, bigger venues! As well as playing more festivals and going on tour with our debut album.
